Toronto Ultra | Canada’s New Call Of Duty Team

On October 24, Overactive Media announced a brand new edition to the Toronto e-sports landscape – Toronto Ultra. Toronto Ultra will complete in an upcoming Call Of Duty league, being put to the test against the likes of Los Angeles’ Optic Gaming, New York Subliners, and Dallas Empire. There are still a number of franchises yet to be unveiled, though more are set to be released as the countdown to the competition begins.

The logo adopted by the Toronto team takes its inspiration from a local icon. A white squirrel well known to a city park (Trinity Bellwoods) will brandish the team’s uniform in what Overactive is calling a ‘less serious’ approach to branding. An angle that we here at Simfluent can get behind!

So far the team roster stands as such:

Anthony “Methodz” Zinni, Carson “Brack” Newberry, Nick “Classic” DiCostanzo, Alex “Lucky” López, Adrian “MettalZ” Serrano, Tobi “CleanX” Jønsson,, Cammy “Cammy” McKilligan, Ben “Bance” Bance, Danny “Loony” Loza, and Mehran “Mayhem” Anjomshoa.

The past year has been an exciting one for the Canadian e-sports scene, with teams like Toronto Defiant and Vancouver Titans appearing to make their mark on the North American circuit.

Stay tuned for more coverage of this exciting new development for Toronto e-sports!
